This role provides senior clinical leadership to Hector Reyes House, overseeing clinical service delivery, supervision, and quality of care for Latino men with substance use disorders (SUD) and moderate-to-severe mental health (MH) conditions. The Clinical Director ensures fidelity to evidence-based practices and integrated SUD/MH treatment, while driving regulatory compliance and collaborating on program development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all clinical operations including assessments, treatment planning, service delivery, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
- Oversee intake, screening, and admission processes, including ASAM placement criteria, eligibility verification, and coordination of referrals.
- Lead case conferences, treatment team meetings, and complex clinical consultations to ensure coordinated, client-centered care.
- Provide clinical oversight for crisis intervention, safety planning, behavioral escalations, and coordination with emergency or external providers.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality and evidence-based patient care.
- Guide staff in the use of evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and harm-reduction strategies.
- Develop, implement, and facilitate ongoing clinical training, professional development, and corrective coaching.
- Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all privacy and security requirements.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop, update, and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Complete and oversee insurance authorizations, concurrent reviews, continued-stay requests, and clinical justifications.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (speaking and writing)
- Active LICSW, LMHC, or LADC1 license in Massachusetts, in good standing
- Minimum 3 years post-licensure clinical experience in SUD treatment, including co-occurring MH disorders
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in behavioral health/residential settings
- Strong cultural sensitivity/adaptability for Latino communities
- Proven collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to individualized recovery plans and person-centered treatment models
- Dedication to supporting Latino men with substance use disorders and promoting diversity and social justice
Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Minimum 3 years post-licensure clinical experience in SUD treatment, including co-occurring MH disorders; Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in behavioral health/residential settings.
