This role serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless and high-quality patient experience by combining administrative, clerical, and clinical responsibilities. The Clinical Concierge optimizes patient care coordination and provides direct clinical support, collaborating with providers and staff.
Responsibilities
- Behave in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust and relationships with patients and their guests
- Coordinate and perform patient check-in/check-out, ensuring accurate registration and information collection
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect payments (co-pays or self-pay fee), and process referrals
- Schedule appointments while optimizing clinic workflow
- Handle patient inquiries and maintain electronic medical records (EMR)
- Maintain required logs, including quality control logs and stat cart checks
- Measure and collect patient data (temperature, pulse, oxygenation saturation, respirations, blood pressure, height, weight, length, head circumference)
- Assist providers with the collection of patient information, including reason for visit, chief complaint, health history, allergies, and current medications
- Complete patient rooming process and implement standard operating procedures to expedite care and provide patient comfort
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sanitation and supply stocking
- Collect and prepare lab specimens and complete necessary requisitions
- Administer medications and vaccinations per provider orders and established protocols within scope of practice
- Support patient procedures and assist with medical examinations
- Complete follow-up phone calls to all patients within two to three days post discharge
Requirements
- Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant or completion of LVPG Medical Assistant Trainee course
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems, word processing, and Excel
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism
- Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and basic patient care practices
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association certification within 30 days
Qualifications
- Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant or completion of LVPG Medical Assistant Trainee course

- Associate’s Degree from a Medical Assistant Program
- 1 year customer service experience in a healthcare setting
