Join Michigan Medicine's Department of Neurosurgery as a spine neurosurgeon, actively contributing to academic missions, patient care, teaching, and research.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the academic mission of the department and institution
- Provide patient care
- Teach clinical and didactic courses
- Undertake administrative responsibilities
- Initiate and direct research projects
- Acquire external funding for research
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals
Requirements
- Medical doctorate degree
- Completed Neurological Surgery residency training program
- American Board of Neurological Surgery certification or eligibility
- Ability to obtain appropriate medical licenses in Michigan and Federal DEA registration
- Demonstrated ability as an academic surgeon
- Evidence of competence in clinical and didactic teaching
- Evidence of scholarly ability (publications, successful external funding acquisition)
Qualifications
- Medical doctorate degree. Completion of a Neurological Surgery residency training program.
