About This Role

Join Michigan Medicine's Department of Neurosurgery as a spine neurosurgeon, actively contributing to academic missions, patient care, teaching, and research.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the academic mission of the department and institution
  • Provide patient care
  • Teach clinical and didactic courses
  • Undertake administrative responsibilities
  • Initiate and direct research projects
  • Acquire external funding for research
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals

Requirements

  • Medical doctorate degree
  • Completed Neurological Surgery residency training program
  • American Board of Neurological Surgery certification or eligibility
  • Ability to obtain appropriate medical licenses in Michigan and Federal DEA registration
  • Demonstrated ability as an academic surgeon
  • Evidence of competence in clinical and didactic teaching
  • Evidence of scholarly ability (publications, successful external funding acquisition)

Qualifications

  • Medical doctorate degree. Completion of a Neurological Surgery residency training program.

Certifications

American Board of Neurological Surgery certification or eligibility (Required)
