Clinical Assistant - PACU

About This Role

Join the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as a Clinical Assistant, providing basic direct patient care and support to the nursing staff at Boston Children's Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic direct care to patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse, following established procedures and instructions.
• Assist patients with feeding and hygiene.
• Obtain, measure, and record routine patient information such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Perform other related duties according to specific needs of the unit.
• Transport patients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Assist with stocking and sanitizing the post anesthesia care unit.
• Set up bed spaces for patients.
• Identify and report unusual findings or changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year CA experience or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation preferred.

Nice to Have

• 1 year Clinical Assistant experience or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation
• Experience working on a team
• CNA certification or equivalent
