Clinic Nurse - Comprehensive Weight Management

About This Role

Serve as a Clinic Nurse coordinating care for comprehensive weight management patients, providing professional nursing care including assessment, education, and continuity of care, while documenting all activities in accordance with clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document patient care in accordance with applicable standards of practice
• Apply the nursing process to all areas of practice
• Perform specialized nursing care as outlined in department/unit specific competency profiles
• Provide nursing care in a multi-disciplinary care setting demonstrating sound professional judgment, clinical competence, appropriate job knowledge, teaching skills, and resource management
• Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives
• Triage patient phone calls, collect medication histories, and provide care as needed
• Review and report lab and test results
• Teach patients and/or families appropriate health information
• Formulate, implement and evaluate nursing care based on individual needs of assigned patients
• Record observations of medical needs and accurately document care processes in medical records
• Supervise, evaluate, and directly observe implementation of nursing care by support personnel in the clinical setting

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing
• Current Ohio license or interim permit

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing
