Lead an arboricultural crew, managing equipment and performing tree care services for clients. Responsibilities include climbing trees using various systems, pruning, removing hazardous trees, and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
- Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients
- Perform Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E.) process
- Prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy
- Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems
- Remove hazardous trees
- Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program
- Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
Requirements
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
Nice to Have
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
