Cleaner

About This Role

Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment across base building areas and laboratory spaces. This role focuses on routine cleaning and sanitation of office, common, and lab support areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and shared spaces
• Clean laboratory support spaces (non-GMP) including floors, benches, sinks, and common equipment surfaces
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and restroom products
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness
• Clean windows, glass, and high-touch surfaces regularly
• Operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums) safely and effectively
• Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in lab areas
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervisor
• Support periodic deep cleaning tasks as scheduled

Requirements

• Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Comfortable working in laboratory environments (non-GMP)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks

Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or cleaning services preferred.
