Cleaner

About This Role

The Cleaner performs a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, maintaining cleanliness and order within buildings. This role ensures facilities are clean, well-maintained, and adhere to established standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces
• Operate light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines
• Vacuum and spot clean rugs in offices and public areas
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all horizontal surfaces
• Wash windowsills, interior door glass, and glass/trim at entrance doors
• Clean and restock paper supplies in bathrooms daily
• Monitor and report building defects such as clogged urinals or lights out
• Collect and dispose of building trash daily
• Replace liners in wastebaskets and trash containers
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances
• Perform periodic work including high dusting, leather/wood surface polishing, and wall washing

Qualifications

• Basic cleaning responsibilities requires no previous experience.
