Classroom Assistant

About This Role

Serve as a Classroom Assistant for the University of North Georgia, specifically for a student needing assistance accessing information due to a visual disability. This role ensures equal access in a classroom setting, assisting with reading and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Secure equal access for students with disabilities in classrooms, testing facilities, and labs.
• Provide assistance to students in accessing/reading information.
• Assist with readying information including code or needed documents.
• Be available outside of class time to assist with homework and tutoring appointments as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality when required.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
• Available on Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30 - 4:45
