As a senior claims specialist, you will investigate and resolve complex and high-risk injury claims, including attorney-represented cases and those with litigation features. You will consult with various parties to determine coverage, liability, and claim value, contributing to the efficient resolution of claims.
Responsibilities
- Investigate complex and high-risk injury claims
- Consult with police officers, medical professionals, claimants, and others involved in accidents
- Determine coverage, liability, and total value of claims
- Direct the use of discovery tools such as interrogatories, depositions, and production of documents
Requirements
- Five years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling OR Two years in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR Four years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling and an associate degree
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree or null
- Five years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling OR Two years in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR Four years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling and an associate degree
Nice to Have
- Ability to quickly build rapport and successfully effect settlements
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills along with ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Demonstrated proficiency analyzing coverage and liability
- Ability to direct the use of discovery tools such as interrogatories, depositions and production of document
