Civil Engineer - Municipal/Land Development

About This Role

Lead the planning, design, and management of municipal infrastructure projects focusing on urban and rural roadways, private land development, water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer utilities. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and community leaders while mentoring junior staff and ensuring project delivery on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and management of high-quality municipal infrastructure projects
• Focus on urban and rural roadways, private land development, water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer utilities, as well as site development
• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and community leaders
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
• Contribute to the growth and expansion of municipal and land development services in the Boise, ID area
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and engineering plans
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff
• Maintain a high-performance, collaborative work environment
• Represent the company professionally at various municipal meetings
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification in Idaho, or ability to obtain within six months
• Minimum of five years of relevant municipal or land development civil engineering experience
• Proven project management skills
• Solid understanding of local municipal processes and infrastructure needs
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant municipal or land development civil engineering experience

• Strong communication, presentation, and client-relations skills
• Knowledge of Boise, ID-area
