Serve as an Entry Level Civil Engineer, preparing reports, construction plans, and technical specifications for water, sewer, and utility projects. This role aids in project management, performs site visits, and collaborates with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare reports, construction plans, and technical specifications for projects
- Assist with tasks including engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids under supervision
- Perform site visits and field observations before and during construction
- Conduct field work, tolerate variable environmental conditions, and lift/carry at least 50 pounds when needed
- Follow corporate quality procedures
- Collaborate with multidiscipline design engineers, technicians, and planners
- Ensure projects comply with local regulations and safety standards
- Maintain proper documentation of projects, including design changes, reports, and test results
- Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and software advancements
- Take initiative to learn new skills or technologies to improve project efficiency or design
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D and Microstation
- 1-2 years of internship experience in engineering design for storm water, wastewater, transportation, or site development projects
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or similar, from an accredited university
- 1-2 years of internship experience providing engineering design for storm water, wastewater, transportation, and or site development engineering projects
Nice to Have
- Course work in water resources, transportation, or relevant coursework
