Child Care Teacher

About This Role

This role involves creating hands-on activities, communicating with parents about their child's daily milestones, and ensuring a safe and clean classroom environment for toddlers. The teacher will contribute to children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
• Provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services per Bright Horizons' policies towards the safety of children

Requirements

• 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children
• Ability to pass required state and company background checks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in childcare, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred

Nice to Have

• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field
