About This Role

Join a global leader as a Chemical Process/Production Engineer, providing process oversight, leading improvements, and mentoring junior engineers. This role offers long-term career opportunities within an Eastern North Carolina plant site.

Responsibilities

  • Provide process oversight for multiple production operations
  • Recommend and lead facilities, procedural and process improvements to maintain and improve production quality, safety, cost and efficiency
  • Monitor and analyze daily production for assigned areas and identify trends
  • Investigate and recommend solutions to correct potential production problems
  • Lead projects or other teams for expansions or improvements as a technical resource/expert
  • Mentor junior Process and Project engineers and serve as a technology expert
  • Lead quality investigations, track progress, and ensure appropriate corrective actions
  • Prepare, review, and approve production records including operating procedures, recipes, JSAs, and change requests
  • Interact with technicians to ensure effective communication of production and compliance-related changes in procedures
  • Investigate and prepare reports related to production problems, customer complaints/inquiries, material reconciliation, process deviations, efficiency, and schedule variances
  • Assist in developing operating goals in support of divisional, unit, and corporate objectives
  • Develop plans to reduce COGS by continuously improving efficiencies and reducing costs
  • Conduct trials as required to ensure continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and to develop or validate new products

Requirements

  • BS Engineering degree
  • 3+ years experience in Process/ Manufacturing Engineering in fiber, composite, polymer or chemical process manufacturing plant sites
  • Demonstrated technical process support ability
  • Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of advanced process control systems and methodologies
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (green card)

Qualifications

  • BS Engineering degree
  • 3+ years experience in Process/ Manufacturing Engineering in fiber, composite, polymer or chemical process manufacturing plant sites
