Charge Registered Nurse, PACU

About This Role

Serve as a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Baptist Clay Medical Campus, providing patient care, coordinating services, and leading daily operations for full-time day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Admit, assess, and manage pre- and post-operative patients
• Coordinate and supervise care provided by supportive personnel and ancillary services
• Serve as a patient advocate and coordinate care throughout the recovery process
• Collaborate with patients and their significant others/families to develop individualized plans of care
• Educate patients and families on their condition, recovery expectations, and plan of care
• Serve as Charge Nurse, supporting daily operations, patient flow, and clinical coordination within the PACU

Requirements

• Associate's Degree - Nursing
• 2-3 years Surgical Services Experience
• 2-3 years Critical Care Nursing Experience
• RN experience in ICU, Emergency Department, or Recovery/PACU
• Licensed Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Prior Charge Nurse or leadership experience
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Conscious Sedation Certification

• Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
