About This Role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential basic nursing services to patients under the direct supervision of a professional nurse, focusing on personal hygiene, comfort, safety, and protection. This role supports patient care by fulfilling delegated tasks in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic nursing services for patients as delegated by and under the direct supervision of the professional nurse
• Provide personal hygiene, comfort, safety, and protection to patients
• Perform non-nursing support functions as required
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served
• Acquire and/or demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
• Provide care with consideration of developmental status
• Relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions
• Get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes
• Perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading, or speaking with others
• Respond appropriately to constructive feedback from a supervisor

Requirements

• Current CNA certification
• Current BLS certification
