Certified Nursing Assistant

About This Role

Serve as a Certified Nursing Assistant, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance in a long-term skilled care and transitional care facility. Assist residents with basic healthcare needs, daily living activities, food preparation, and recreational programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN)
• Deliver age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan
• Follow infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use
• Assist with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining vital signs, and providing psychosocial support
• Assist the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct techniques and equipment
• Provide range of motion and passive exercises
• Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, assisting residents with meals and snacks
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary
• Communicate resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in Minnesota
• Minimum age of 16

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred

Nice to Have

• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
