The Certified Nursing Assistant creates a living environment for residents, maximizing their abilities and independence. This role assists residents with daily living activities while adhering to CRISTA's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including assistance with bathing, dressing, incontinence management, ambulation, and medication administration
- Recognize and report any changes in health, behavior, or environmental safety problems of residents
- Report for duty as scheduled, appropriately dressed, and be flexible to fill in for staff during emergencies or vacations
- Follow policies and procedures regarding charting, documentation, and reporting
- Build personal relationships with residents and their families to ensure care based on personal preferences
- Actively resolve problems involving other team care members as appropriate
- Participate in monthly training meetings and other ongoing education opportunities
- Manage or redirect agitated or emotionally upset residents or family members
- Make appropriate emergency and non-emergency judgments to ensure residents receive necessary services and care
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Nursing Assistance Certified
- Home Care Aide Certified
- Healthcare provider required to comply with HIPAA
