Join a team of Certified Medical Physicists and Dosimetrists to provide high-quality radiation oncology physics support at Texas Oncology's East Texas Physics POD, contributing to advanced cancer care and treatment with cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities
- Provide full range of on-site clinical medical physics support at your primary clinic
- Actively work with other physicists and dosimetrists in the region
- Ensure high-quality, high-touch care for cancer patients
- Stay updated on leading-edge technology and treatment options
- Potentially serve on company-wide physics committees
- Corroborate with other network physicists to share expertise
Requirements
- MS or PhD degree in Medical physics from a CAMPEP accredited program
- Graduate from a CAMPEP accredited residency program
- ABR board certification or in the process of obtaining certification (completed part 1)
- Eligibility for a Texas license
- Strong organization and oral\written communication skills
- Minimum of two to five years’ experience in radiation oncology physics
- Strong background in all aspects of radiation oncology physics
- Good working knowledge of SRS, SBRT and HDR
Qualifications
- MS or PhD degree in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of two to five years’ experience in radiation oncology physics
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Varian linear accelerators
- Working knowledge of Varian VariSource\Bravos HDR afterloader
- Working knowledge of Eclipse and Brachyvision
- Working knowledge of MOSAIQ Radiation Oncology Information System
- Working knowledge of HDR, SBRT and SRS procedures
- Working knowledge of Radiation safety
