About This Role

The Certified LPN provides a wide variety of nursing functions, supporting medical care plans by adhering to hospital policies, documenting patient records, teaching, and performing IV therapy. This role ensures age-appropriate care and maintains positive relationships with patients, families, and medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care in compliance with hospital/departmental policies and procedures
• Assist in maintaining patient records through daily nursing summaries, Medicare charting, acute care charting, and accurate medication administration records
• Contribute to nursing care plan
• Provide patient/family teaching necessary for continuing care during and after discharge
• Perform IV therapy utilizing hospital guidelines
• Maintain knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care
• Organize and prioritize work assignments
• Delegate assignments appropriately to nursing assistants
• Assist new employees in their orientation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• LPN State Licensure
• CPR certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, plus continuing education requirements
