Cashier/Food Service Worker

About This Role

Operate a Point of Sale system, prepare food items, and maintain cleanliness at cashier and coffee stations for a dining service within a university setting. Provide service in all retail areas including cashiering and line serving.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts, including catering orders
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system and maintain cash accuracy with receipts
• Perform general cleaning duties and remove trash and garbage to designated areas
• Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products
• Set up serving line, ensuring temperatures are taken, recorded, and within acceptable ranges
• Serve hot and cold items to customers
• Set up items for purchase on a daily basis
• Keep refrigerators stocked and products rotated using the first in, first out rule
• Stock pantries with correct par levels of food items daily and record amounts on floor stock forms

Qualifications

• Prior food service and cashier experience preferred
