Caregiver/HHA

About This Role

This role involves providing essential in-home assistance and emotional support to elderly clients, helping them with daily living activities and monitoring changes in their health.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Help with meal preparation and medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and linen changes
• Accompany clients to appointments and outings
• Monitor and report changes in client's health or behavior

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pass a criminal background check
• Pass a drug screen prior to employment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working with elderly clients in a caregiving role is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working with elderly clients in a caregiving role
• Familiarity with assisting seniors in activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting
• Understanding of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other memory-related conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring attitude and patience to work with clients who may have physical or cognitive limitations
