Join our team as an in-home caregiver, providing essential personal care and companionship to seniors. Your role will help clients maintain dignity and independence while working in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
- Provide medication reminders (no administration)
- Escort clients to appointments and for errands
- Assist with mobility and ensure home safety
- Follow individualized care plans and document care provided
- Observe, report, and communicate changes in client condition
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness and ability to travel to Huntley, Algonquin, Cary, Elgin, South Elgin, and surrounding areas
- Must pass background screening
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to quality care
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience, professional or family
Nice to Have
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Experience with Dementia or Alzheimer’s Care
- CNA or HHA Certification
- Experience with Mobility Assistance
- Experience providing in-home services to seniors
- Enrollment/completion of a CNA or nursing program
- Ability to work independently
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills
