Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory RN

About This Role

Ensure the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of cardiac catheterization procedures as a Cath Lab RN. Contribute significantly to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases at Mission Regional Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations related to the surgical environment
• Communicate with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition
• Assist with the maintenance of equipment and inventory
• Assess procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness
• Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab
• Observe and record patient’s condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab

Requirements

• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
• One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
