Ensure the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of cardiac catheterization procedures as a Cath Lab RN. Contribute significantly to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases at Mission Regional Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations related to the surgical environment
- Communicate with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition
- Assist with the maintenance of equipment and inventory
- Assess procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness
- Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab
- Observe and record patient’s condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab
Requirements
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
- One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
