Capital Markets Sales Officer

About This Role

This role involves originating, structuring, and distributing lease transactions through bank and non-bank investors within the Flagstar Financial & Leasing group. The Officer will grow the bank's leasing portfolio by identifying market opportunities, building institutional relationships, and executing transactions for optimal risk-adjusted returns.

Responsibilities

• Source, structure, and price lease transactions for acquisition/syndication distribution from and to bank and non-bank institutional investors
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, lessors, and financial sponsors
• Partner with Relationship Managers and internal leasing teams to assess client needs and structure competitive lease solutions
• Achieve specified volume and/or fee income targets within Capital Markets’ overall objectives
• May lead high level strategic initiatives for Capital Markets and/or Flagstar Financial & Leasing, LLC
• Lead the syndication and secondary market sale of lease assets, ensuring optimal pricing and execution
• Collaborate with credit, legal, and operations teams to facilitate smooth deal execution
• Negotiate terms with investors, ensuring alignment with bank credit and risk policies
• Stay informed on trends in the leasing and structured finance markets, identifying new opportunities for growth
• Provide insights to leadership on pricing strategies, risk appetite, and competitive positioning

Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)
• 5+ Years combination of equipment leasing, capital markets, lease syndication, structured finance, finance and/or relationship management experience
• Proven ability to originate and execute lease transactions in institutional and equipment leasing markets
• Strong network within the leasing and financial services industry

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)
• 5+ Years combination of equipment leasing, capital markets, lease syndication, structured finance, finance and/or relationship management experience

Nice to Have

• Credit, portfolio risk analysis and pricing skill set in support of recommendations the acquisition and/or syndication of opportunities
• Good understanding of standard equipment leasing products
