Camp Counselor

About This Role

Provide direct care and supervision for campers in a Christian therapy and nursing center, ensuring a safe, secure, and fun day camp environment. Assist lead counselors in organizing activities and managing camper behavior.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for campers
• Assist Lead Camp Counselor in organizing and leading daily activities
• Modify daily activities based on the needs and abilities of the campers
• Assist Lead Camp Counselor in responding to behavior issues appropriately
• Know and understand all emergency procedures associated with the camp program and respond appropriately
• Ensure that assigned area is kept clean, organized and free of litter

Requirements

• High school diploma or HSE Diploma OR 18 years of age
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider with skills testing certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma, or 18 years of age

Nice to Have

• Summer camp experience
