Cable Fabrication Technician

About This Role

Perform moderate to complex vehicle integration tasks including cable routing and metal work installations, providing technical support for C5ISR systems. This role also involves assisting with kitting and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to complex vehicle integration tasks including cable routing, metal work installations, and technical support
• Integrate, install, modify, and perform upgrades in support of C5ISR systems
• Provide occasional assistance to related support areas, including kitting and warehouse operations
• Read and follow integration documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, drawings and diagrams, layouts, and plans often requiring interpretation

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in integration, manufacturing, or maintenance
• US Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift, pull, push and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand or squat for extended periods
• Ability to walk distances of at least one-half mile daily
• Ability to repeatedly manipulate and handle tools for installing electronics and metal work into vehicles
• Familiarity with the use and operation of power tools
• Ability to move and arrange heavy cable supplies and electronic equipment

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology, math or science or formal electronics training from a technical school, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four year apprentice program or High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience with a formal degree/training or 4+ years of related experience with a HS/GED in integration, manufacturing, or maintenance.
