This role is for a Buyer/Planner to join the Procurement Department of a manufacturing and supply chain organization. The successful candidate will develop and execute material plans, manage purchase orders, and optimize inventory to support production schedules and customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute material plans to support production schedules, customer demand, and inventory targets
- Place, manage, and expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Balance supply, demand, lead times, and inventory to optimize working capital
- Monitor MRP signals and take swift action to resolve exceptions
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to improve performance, capacity, and responsiveness
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in buying, planning, or supply chain roles
- Experience working in an MRP/ERP environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to proactively identify risks and drive solutions in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in buying, planning, or supply chain roles
