About This Role

Administer purchasing activities for an assigned area, including negotiation and documentation of contracts, to obtain goods and services at the best value. Foster relations with suppliers and provide technical support to requesters.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required work on assigned requests, including price analysis, vendor analysis, and follow-up on least complex and costly purchases.
  • Provide service to requestors by explaining policy, resolving limited complexity issues, expediting orders, and providing product information.
  • Source required goods and services through the entire process with guidance from the supervisor.
  • Complete special projects of limited complexity as assigned.
  • Foster good relations with suppliers and partners.
  • Manage supplier relationships.
  • Manage partner relationships.

Requirements

  • BA degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Understanding and experience in effective purchasing principles

Qualifications

  • BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Developing professional with understanding and experience in effective purchasing principles.
