The Business Intelligence Analyst will maintain and enhance Tableau dashboards using Databricks data, ensuring accurate and timely client-facing reports. This role supports the Senior BI Strategist in scaling the BI vision through operational excellence and strong QA practices.
Responsibilities
- Own assigned reporting deliverables end-to-end, including refresh validation, dashboard updates, enhancements, and delivery-ready outputs
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards with specific parameters, filters, calculated fields, layout standards, and usability considerations
- Support reporting for multi-location clients, focusing on location-level detail and roll-ups
- Perform QA on outputs before internal or client-facing use, including reconciliation checks, trend validation, anomaly detection, and definition consistency
- Escalate issues with clarity, detailing changes, impact, suspected cause, and recommended next steps
- Implement dashboard enhancements such as new views, improved filtering, and data storytelling
- Add and refine KPI calculations and definitions under BI team direction
- Improve performance by reducing dashboard load time and optimizing calculations/queries
- Maintain KPI definitions and reporting documentation, including glossary, refresh cadence, dashboard intent, and known limitations
- Create and execute repeatable checklists and SOPs for production and QA to ensure consistency at scale
Requirements
- 1–3 years experience in BI, analytics, reporting, marketing analytics, or a data-adjacent role
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards in a modern BI tool (Tableau strongly preferred)
- SQL (basic–intermediate): joins, aggregations, and writing queries to validate/report on datasets
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivots, lookups, conditional logic)
- High attention to detail and accountability
- Clear communication and comfort working through priorities, tickets, and deadlines
Qualifications
- 1–3 years experience in BI, analytics, reporting, marketing analytics, or a data-adjacent role
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Databricks (or similar cloud data platforms)
- Exposure to marketing data sources (CRMs, GA4, paid media platforms, call tracking, etc.)
- Experience working with data pipelines/connectors/APIs or troubleshooting data freshness issues
- Comfort working in a task/ticket workflow (Monday.com, Jira, Asana, etc.)
