The Business Intelligence Analyst will modernize the Life & Annuities sales reporting function at Corebridge Financial, combining data transformation and visualization to deliver accurate, scalable, and actionable reporting solutions. This role is critical in replacing legacy processes with modern solutions and partnering with stakeholders to define and track meaningful KPIs that drive sales strategy and performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, update, and distribute sales reports using Cognos Report Studio
- Manage burst schedules and security filters for accurate report distribution to stakeholders
- Translate complex business requirements into functional report changes or enhancements
- Fulfill custom reporting requests and generate insights for leadership and distribution teams
- Ensure data integrity, perform validation checks, and resolve discrepancies
- Provide ad hoc statistical analysis and support for strategic initiatives through data storytelling
- Develop optimized data queries/scripts (SQL/Python) to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources
- Collaborate with Data Governance Analyst to ensure report accuracy and resolve data quality issues
- Lead or support the transition from legacy reports to scalable automated BI solutions
- Translate static reports and complex datasets into interactive dashboards for business users
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and key business metrics
- Implement best practices for data integration, metric consistency and scalable dashboard design
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in data wrangling, analysis, and visualization within financial services
- Direct experience in life insurance and annuities
- Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets
- Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake)
- Expertise in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau
- Ability to work with large datasets and develop insights that drive business strategy
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data wrangling, analysis, and visualization within financial services, with direct experience in life insurance and annuities.
Nice to Have
- Python, R, or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience with data governance frameworks and tools
