Business Development Director

About This Role

This role involves planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Business Development department to enhance the company's visibility as a sub-acute preferred provider. The primary goal is to increase census in compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate business development programs
• Develop new business for the facility to increase census
• Develop and implement census development plans to meet and/or exceed budgeted goals
• Recruit, select, train, counsel, and supervise business development staff (if applicable)
• Conduct facility tours for potential patients, families, and visitors, educating them on key benefits
• Effectively manage and operate within budget
• Maintain professional working relationships with all associates and vendors

Requirements

• 3+ years successful business development experience
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Demonstrate an outgoing, energetic personality
• Expert knowledge in field of practice
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
• Ability to implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Ability to understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Ability to display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or related field or equivalent experience
• Three (3) or more years’ successful business development experience, with a preference for healthcare experience
