Broker Sales Support Specialist I

About This Role

This position supports Ambetter Brokers and the Sales team by researching commission and contracting questions and collaborating with internal teams to resolve member-related issues to help secure and retain membership.

Responsibilities

• Support Ambetter Brokers and the Sales team with commission and contracting questions
• Conduct in-depth research of issues and accurately relay findings
• Collaborate with leadership and internal teams on member-related issues
• Complete initial research and documentation for reported issues, following up until resolution
• Partner with the Sales team on broker outreaches to secure and retain membership
• Handle provider issues reported by brokers via call or email
• Determine if issues need escalation to the Provider Management team and Health Plan contacts
• Collaborate directly with Provider Management Team and Health Plan to resolve issues
• Research commission issues to determine broker payment eligibility
• Authorize corrections for non-complex commission issues and make payment decisions

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED
• 1+ year of customer service or health insurance industry experience
• Ability to obtain Department of Insurance Life/Health License within 120-days of hire
