The Broker Placement Specialist plays a key role in supporting clients by evaluating and placing customer business with various insurance carriers, ensuring favorable terms through negotiation and analysis of risk.
Responsibilities
- Market customer business, typically of moderate to high complexity, to a variety of insurance carriers
- Independently and under limited supervision, evaluate companies to ensure they are qualified in the marketplace
- Refer unusual questions to more experienced specialists or management
- Receive and process requests for quotations from account personnel
- Identify and analyze client exposures to recommend and/or design risk transfer/financing products
- Identify appropriate carriers, send requests, negotiate favorable quotes and prepare recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 years related experience
- Insurance licensing
