Boat Sales Consultant

About This Role

The Boat & ATV Sales Consultant engages customers, determines their needs for boating and/or ATV products, and provides information to help them make informed buying decisions. This role involves maintaining product knowledge, managing leads, and completing sales paperwork to meet monthly sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers
• Engages all customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner
• Meets with potential customers to determine their boating and/or ATV needs
• Provides information necessary to allow the customer to make an informed buying decision
• Maintains current product knowledge by using available resources
• Maintains awareness of advertised items, current pricing structures, and promotions
• Works cooperatively with the Service Department to see that delivery to the customer is seamless
• Prepares the showroom each morning to ensure proper signage is in place and all products are in sellable condition
• Generates and manages leads and prospects in the provided Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool daily
• Participates in special events such as boat shows and parking lot events
• Accurately completes all necessary paperwork required within the selling process
• Meets and exceeds individual monthly sales goals

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to operate computer systems and point of sale register systems
