Billing and Accounting Specialist

About This Role

Manage general accounting, billing, accounts receivable, and collections for a technology company. This role involves maintaining general ledger accounts, processing invoices, reconciling statements, and resolving customer billing inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Sync customer invoices and payments between ConnectWise and QuickBooks
• Support customer agreement setup and maintenance in ConnectWise
• Prepare invoices through ConnectWise based on billing cycle
• Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements and credit card statements
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and discrepancies
• Reconcile vendor and customer statements
• Conduct follow-ups on overdue invoices and manage collection activities
• Collaborate with the Procurement team for cross-functional coverage
• Respond to customer billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies

Requirements

• Mastery of general office applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (manipulating large data, pivot tables)
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Strong knowledge of general ledger and accounts receivable functions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Associate degree or bachelor's in accounting, finance, or related field
• 2+ years in an accounting or finance-related role

Nice to Have

• Experience with ConnectWise
• Prior work with service-based billing or IT services
• Familiarity with time tracking and agreement-based invoicing
