This role primarily implements behavioral health and educational services using Applied Behavior Analysis with individuals diagnosed with autism, mental health disorders, or intellectual disabilities. The position involves delivering instruction, implementing care plans, and collecting data in a 1:1, 1:2, or small group setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction and assessments based on training and feedback from supervisors
- Implement skills acquisition and behavior modification plans
- Implement intensive behavioral health treatment, including skills development, problem solving, and emotional management
- Implement crisis interventions as needed and approved
- Collect and analyze data and service records accurately
- Organize, prepare teaching and treatment materials, and maintain clean instructional areas
- Maintain designated individual's data collection methods, documents, records, and materials
- Assist in maintaining compliance files and report unusual incidents or medical situations
- Perform first aid as trained and designated
- Complete treatment and education review for designated individuals
- Attend and participate in all treatment, educational, program, and Staff Development Day meetings
- Seek, receive, and apply feedback professionally
- Communicate professionally with coworkers, outside professionals, and parents
- Complete all assigned trainings and physical crisis management certifications within 60 days of hire
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years experience in behavioral health, human services, or mental health field
- Ability to complete physical crisis management training(s) and certification(s) within 60 days of hire
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus 3 or more years of experience in the behavioral health, human services, or mental health field. College Degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in behavioral health, human services, or mental health field; 1-2 years experience with children and families preferred.
Nice to Have
- College Degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field
- One to two (1-2) years of experience working directly with children and families
- Experience working with people with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities
- Experience working with people with behavioral health conditions
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles
- Proof of auto insurance
- No more than 5 points on driver's license
