About This Role

Implement and deliver behavioral health and educational services using Applied Behavior Analysis principles to individuals with autism, related mental health disorders, or intellectual disabilities. This role involves direct instruction, assessment, skill acquisition, behavior modification, and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction and assessments following training procedures and feedback from supervisors
  • Implement skills acquisition and behavior modification plans as provided by supervisors
  • Implement behavioral health treatment, including skills development, problem-solving, and emotion management
  • Implement crisis interventions as needed and approved
  • Collect and analyze data and records of service accurately
  • Organize, prepare teaching and treatment materials, and maintain a clean instructional area
  • Maintain designated individual’s data collection methods, documents, records, and materials
  • Assist in maintaining files for compliance with local, state, and federal standards
  • Perform first aid as trained and designated
  • Complete treatment and education review for designated individuals
  • Attend and participate in all treatment and educational team meetings, program meetings and Staff Development Days
  • Seek, receive, and apply feedback appropriately and professionally
  • Communicate professionally with coworkers, outside professionals, and parents

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in behavioral health, human services, or mental health field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult, child and infant certification

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in the behavioral health, human services, or mental health field

Nice to Have

  • College Degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field
  • 1-2 years experience working directly with children and families
  • Experience working with people with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities
  • Experience working with people with behavioral health conditions
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance (no more than 5 points)
