Support the bar operations at a luxury resort's new signature restaurant, Sotogrande, ensuring a well-stocked, organized bar and extraordinary service for guests, particularly with craft cocktails and live entertainment.
Responsibilities
- Restock bar supplies including liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other essential items
- Prepare the bar area before service, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness
- Assist in setting up the bar station, arranging bottles, glasses, and utensils, and help with breakdown and cleanup
- Support bartenders during peak hours by fetching and carrying items like ingredients, ice, and glassware
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace to facilitate efficient service
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with inquiries and providing exceptional service
- Anticipate guest needs and promptly address any requests or concerns
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of hazardous materials, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- Follow all legal regulations and policies regarding the service of alcohol
Requirements
- Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol
- High School Diploma or GED
- TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire
- Current Food Handlers card
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience in a bar or hospitality setting is preferred, but not required.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience passionately providing food and beverage service to others
- Familiarity with restaurant terminology and food service techniques
- Prior experience in a bar or hospitality setting
