Bar Back (Concessions)

About This Role

The Concessions Bar Back supports Bartenders by ensuring guests enjoy their time at State Farm Arena, managing the inventory and replenishment of liquor, beer, and wine, and maintaining the cleanliness of the bar areas.

Responsibilities

• Receive and replenish liquor, beer, and wine from the storeroom daily and as needed
• Retrieve needed food items from the kitchen and deliver to the bar area
• Retrieve needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and deliver to the bar area
• Set up bottles on the bar with 'top shelf' liquor on the back shelf
• Ensure beer taps are working properly
• Place appropriate bar snacks on the counter and keep supplies stocked throughout the shift
• Assist in opening and closing side work as assigned
• Bus tables in the bar area
• Help ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas
• Remove rubbish from all receptacles
• Prepare and serve beverages as needed to assist the bartender

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and actively engage physically with guests
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to react with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations
• Demonstrated physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods
• Ability to lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work all Hawks home games
