About This Role

This role involves preparing and cooking food items for banquets, ensuring quality standards and proper presentation, while also assisting management with training, scheduling, and motivating culinary team members.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare special meals or substitute items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
  • Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
  • Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
  • Maintain food logs and monitor quality and quantity of prepared food
  • Communicate assistance needed during busy periods and inform Chef of excess food items
  • Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs and develop positive working relationships with others

Requirements

  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
  • 3+ years of related work experience
