AVP Senior Legal Counsel

About This Role

Provide strategic legal counsel and manage complex legal matters with a focus on federal telecommunications regulation and privacy law for AT&T. This role ensures compliance, protects the organization's interests, and furthers strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage complex legal projects, including litigation, government enforcement investigations, and regulatory compliance, with an emphasis on federal telecommunications and privacy law
• Offer expert legal and policy advice and guidance to senior leadership and company managers on legal and policy issues, including the intersection of technology and regulation
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and design and implement risk management strategies
• Mentor and work with a team of experienced legal professionals, and help manage part of the internal operations of the Law Department

Requirements

• 8+ years of federal regulatory law experience
• Experience with Federal Communications Commission or Federal Trade Commission
• Law degree
• Active license in good standing to practice law in assigned state
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
