Auto Damage Desk Appraiser

About This Role

This role is for a skilled Auto Damage Desk Appraiser responsible for completing auto physical damage estimates with quality and efficiency, following Tesla repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual estimates and supplements based on photos provided by the customer or body shop in an efficient manner
• Accurately assess vehicle damages and complete a thorough estimate using proper repair procedures
• Adhere to company claims procedures and guidelines
• Negotiate with auto repair facilities and reach agreement for cost of repair
• Evaluate the Actual Cash Value of a vehicle determined to be a total loss following company guidelines
• Settle vehicles determined to be a total loss
• Identify and report underwriting concerns or evidence of external fraud to appropriate channels

Requirements

• 1+ years’ experience as an auto damage appraiser with an insurance company or as a body shop writer
• Experience with major estimating software
