Associate - Venture Capital

About This Role

This role involves finding and investing in promising startups for Rhapsody's portfolio, focusing on 'hard-tech' innovations. The Associate will support the commercialization of these technologies by fostering collaborations between startups and industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Source, diligence, and invest in a startup to make the next investment
• Work directly with large companies and startups to support the ecosystem in a structured program
• Make connections to strategically relevant sources of innovation for CTOs and senior staff
• Own relationships with select industry partners and help grow the ecosystem
• Join one of the startups in the portfolio to do operational work such as business development, marketing, and strategic planning

Requirements

• Graduate of a top school with a degree in engineering or applied science
• Experience in working with customers, either in consulting or another client-facing role
• Deep curiosity for how the world works and how it is changing
• Capable of engaging in purposeful discussion with executives from multinationals and startups
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture
