Associate Director of Annual Giving

About This Role

This role will oversee and grow Valparaiso University's annual giving program, the Valpo Fund. The Associate Director manages vendor relationships for mailings and leads signature giving initiatives like Valpo Day and Giving Tuesday. It also focuses on growing membership and donor engagement for the 1859 Society.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Valparaiso University's annual giving program, the Valpo Fund
• Manage relationships with outside vendors for mailings (year-end, fiscal-year-end, Valpo Day appeals)
• Lead signature giving initiatives such as Valpo Day and Giving Tuesday
• Oversee the 1859 Society
• Implement strategies to grow membership and donor engagement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent PPPP
• 3+ years experience in annual giving, fundraising, sales, or marketing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least three years of experience in annual giving, fundraising, sales, or marketing; experience in higher education or a related nonprofit sector is preferred.
