Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

Support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations, while leading store team members and managing the store during the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak business hours
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy
• Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner
• Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently
• Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and refunds are issued accurately
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store
• Ensure that Zipline messages are communicated, and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, including verifying/securing money/deposits according to company policy
• Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles

Requirements

• Sales Specialist Training
• Assistant Manager Certification
• RSS Certification

Nice to Have

• Certified Parts Professional Certification
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
