Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

Support the Store Manager in driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining store operations. This role involves leading a team and managing the store during the Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations
• Manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts
• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs
• Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours
• Assist in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring training completion
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling/participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy
• Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and ensure refunds are issued accurately
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store
• Ensure Zipline messages are communicated, and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed
• Ensure all team members are complying with company policies regarding schedules and clocking in/out
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures and securing money/deposits
• Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage, computer hardware, and delivery vehicles

Requirements

• Sales Specialist Training
• Assistant Manager Certification
• RSS Certification

Nice to Have

• Certified Parts Professional Certification
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
