Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

Support the Store Manager in driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and overseeing store operations. Manage the store in the Store Manager's absence and lead the team to meet customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring training completion
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner
• Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for efficient handling of special orders and outside purchases
• Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently, and refunds are issued accurately
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, and arming/disarming security alarms

Requirements

• Sales Specialist Training
• Assistant Manager Certification
• RSS Certification

Nice to Have

• Certified Parts Professional Certification
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
