About This Role

This role assists in managing the daily functions of the security and loss prevention department, ensuring the protection of property assets, employees, and guests. Key responsibilities include maintaining required documentation, training staff on emergency procedures, and implementing accident/fire prevention measures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of daily department functions to ensure protection of property assets, employees, guests, and property
  • Maintain logs, certifications, and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assist in training staff in established emergency procedures
  • Implement accident and fire prevention procedures
  • Administer fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments, including OSHA/SAFETY audits and incident tracking
  • Develop detailed "shut down" procedures for the property
  • Oversee all loss prevention operations including patrol process, emergency response, and investigations
  • Manage the claims process and protect company assets by monitoring General Liability and Worker's Compensation cases
  • Meet quality standards and customer expectations daily

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in security/loss prevention or related professional area

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major
  • 3 years experience in security/loss prevention or related professional area (or 1 year with a 2-year degree)

Nice to Have

  • 2-year degree in Criminal Justice or related major
  • 1 year experience in security/loss prevention with a 2-year degree
