About This Role

The Assistant Security Account Manager supports the Account Manager in overseeing all supervisory, training and operational functions for security contracts at an assigned location, ensuring effective security service delivery and compliance with internal procedures and client instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordination of all technical and managerial aspects of the security contract.
  • Assign work tasks to Security Professionals and direct their daily activities.
  • Supervise, motivate, coach, and train Security Professionals and shift supervisors.
  • Evaluate work performance of Security Professionals and recommend assignments.
  • Ensure Post Order manual and other post/training information is properly maintained and updated.
  • Assist in conducting interviews and evaluating new employees.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for new employees or when post orders change.
  • Oversee all reports, logs, and pass downs generated by and for the Security Department.
  • Manage and supervise all sub-units within the Security Department, such as fire control room or command center.
  • Respond to minor incidents, ensure appropriate action is taken, and reports are completed.
  • Identify and forward personnel problems to Account Manager or Field Supervisor.
  • Make recommendations for counseling and/or disciplinary action, and administer at specific direction.
  • Respond to client or site emergencies and ensure appropriate communication.
  • Maintain positive client/security relationships through frequent contact.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) - five (5) years of professional-level experience
  • Prior experience in security industry, law enforcement, and/or military
  • Valid state Guard License (or acquired prior to employment)
  • Ability to successfully complete a background investigation
  • Ability to pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
  • Energetic and focused personality with proven initiative
  • Strong customer service orientation with ability to de-escalate situations
  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment
  • Ability to train and coach others, and enforce policies consistently
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work outside normal shift schedule and be accessible 24/7 for emergencies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) - five (5) years of professional-level experience required. Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement and/or military required.

Nice to Have

  • College education or business classes
  • Experience in scheduling, operations or other functions of security industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and email
